By Matthew CoudenShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberA crushing defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos in overtime on Saturday brought plenty of emotions from the Buffalo Bills fans and players.
The frantic finale saw a deep Josh Allen pass intercepted by the Broncos, and then star quarterback Bo Nix guided his team down the field. A devastating pass interference call arrived for the Bills' defense, putting Denver right near the endzone, and close enough to connect on a game-winning field goal.
Ultimately, the Broncos came away with a 33-30 victory, thanks to a brilliant performance from quarterback Bo Nix and Denver's defense coming up big.

...Reports spoke with members of the Buffalo Bills after their disappointing loss, including a teary-eyed left tackle, Dion Dawkins.
Dawkins reportedly whispered, through tears, "he didn't let us down" regarding quarterback Josh Allen, before turning to his locker.
His reaction came after Allen's emotional remarks at the podium, during his postgame comments to reporters.
While speaking after the game, Allen, also visibly emotional and choked up over the loss, indicated, “It’s extremely difficult. Feel like I let my teammates down tonight."
With Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson all failing to reach the AFC postseason, analysts, fans, and journalists pushed the narrative that Allen was one of the best, if not the best, quarterbacks in the NFL, and that this was his time to reach the Super Bowl.
In the loss to Denver, he threw 25-of-39 completions for 283 yards and three touchdowns. However, he had two interceptions, including the costly overtime turnover as his team was nearing field goal range to win the game.
His fumble on a rushing play before halftime and his overtime interception are among the plays fans are pointing to as crucial mistakes that cost Buffalo the game.
However, it appears his teammates are rallying around the former NFL Most Valuable Player as they process a difficult, emotional exit from another playoff appearance.
