PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – ESPN’s Jorge Castillo is reporting that the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a free agent deal with left-handed reliever Gregory Soto.

According to the report, it is a one-year contract worth $7.75 million.

Soto split the 2025 campaign between the Mets and Orioles. He posted a record of 1-5 with a 4.18 ERA and one save. In 60.1 innings of work, he struck out a total of 70 batters.

In seven MLB seasons, Soto owns a record of 15-34 with a 3.26 ERA and 56 saves combined with the Tigers, Phillies, Orioles and Mets.
