By Cole SullivanShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Baltimore Ravens collapsed on Sunday Night Football in Week 16, blowing an 11-point second-half lead against the New England Patriots to fall to 7–8 on the season.
However, they played the entire second half without star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who exited the game late in the second quarter after suffering a back injury.
Now, entering their Week 17 matchup on Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers, the Ravens cannot afford another loss if they hope to keep their playoff hopes alive — and even then, they’ll need some help. They may also have to do it without Jackson.
On Thursday, the Ravens’ latest injury report revealed that Jackson has been listed as doubtful to play Saturday, potentially paving the way for Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to start in his place.

Fortunately, Huntley has plenty of starting experience for the Ravens. He delivered a solid performance in the second half against New England last weekend and has stepped in multiple times over the years for Baltimore, including during a 2022 playoff game, as well as during his brief stint with the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson previously missed time earlier this season with a hamstring injury and has dealt with various injuries throughout the year. Since returning from that setback, which caused him to miss several games, Jackson has not logged a full week of practice.
...This season, Jackson has been rushing the ball at a career-low rate. He has completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,311 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while totaling just 63 carries for 340 yards and two scores — all of which would represent the lowest marks of his career.
