In what will be the most star-studded transfer portal in history, one of the nation's best receivers added his name on Wednesday.

The transfer portal could be the difference between a team winning the College Football Playoff in 2026 and sitting at home at Christmas, wondering “what if” they had just found that game-changing player in the transfer window.

On Wednesday, one of those game-changing players declared their intent to enter the portal when it officially opens on Jan. 2, 2026, and he could be a top choice for powerhouse schools across the nation.

Chase Hendricks is leaving the Ohio Bobcats and the MAC behind to take center stage at a top school for the upcoming season. A three-star recruit out of Missouri, Hendricks was one of the most explosive receivers in all of college football during the 2025 campaign.

After a slow start in 2023 as a freshman with limited playing time, he showed immense improvement in 2024, catching 40 passes for 471 yards and a touchdown.

This year, though, Hendricks went from footnote to the main character of the Bobcats, averaging 14.6 yards per reception and catching 71 receptions for 1,037 yards with seven touchdowns.

He was 13th in the entire country in receiving yards, putting him in an elite class of names, including USC’s Makai Lemon and Ohio State prodigy Jeremiah Smith.

As he enters the portal, look for Power Four schools that are aiming for a receiver with top-end speed and agility that can get behind backlines for home run shots from a quarterback with a strong arm.

Hendricks played his final game for the Bobcats in the Frisco Bowl, beating the UNLV Rebels 17-10.
