The New York Yankees have not made the big move many fans have been waiting for in free agency, but they are reportedly still interested in Cody Bellinger.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, during a livestream for Bleacher Report on Tuesday, Bellinger is the Yankees' "top priority," but they are not the only team pursuing him. The Los Angeles Dodgers, the team Bellinger began his MLB career and won an MVP Award with, have "some interest."

Heyman named the Dodgers among teams pursuing Bellinger, but made it clear that their interest level is not as high as teams like the Yankees, San Francisco Giants or New York Mets. The Dodgers would make sense as a landing spot for Bellinger, given the state of their outfield.

The Dodgers need a third outfielder, and while Tommy Edman could be that player after getting his ankle injury taken care of this offseason, the Dodgers have proven to be an aggressive front office in the past. Adding Bellinger would be in line with their way of doing business.

Bellinger was not great in his final three seasons with the Dodgers, but he has since bounced back. Last season, he hit 29 home runs and was once again an elite defender in the outfield. He, Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages could be an elite trio in Los Angeles. That would also allow Edman to stick at second base and keep Hyeseong Kim in a utility role.
