So much for Boxing Day sales being a one-day shopping event. That's not been the case for a couple of years now, especially since Amazon's Boxing Day sale kicked off on December 22 in 2023 and 2024. Strangely, though, the online retail giant is yet to officially start its last sale of the year.
Other Aussie retailers are in a giving mood that reflects the season, and that's good news for the last-minute Christmas shopper. If it is a Christmas prezzie that you're after, you'll need to check the delivery window – we are cutting it real close here, so you could opt for the click-and-collect option, although if you choose something from Amazon, you'll know if your package will arrive on time or not.
For Amazon purchases, it's best to be a Prime member as that will ensure you get expedited delivery – if you've never tried the service, you can sign up now for a free 30-day trial and cancel any time if you don't want to pay the ongoing AU$9.99 subscription fee.

Moreover, I've written about a wide variety of tech in that time too – from smartphones to ereaders, cameras and headphones too – giving me a wealth of knowledge to lean into when recommending a product.

Save 25% (AU$150)Nothing Phone 3a (128GB): was AU$599 now AU$449 at JB Hi-FiThis is an eye-catching phone with a unique design. It even has impressive battery life, plus a clean software. If you're after a budget handset for regular use – calls, texts, a little browsing – this is perfect. It doesn't have a lot of power for heavy use and the camera setup isn't as impressive as what you'd get from flagship phones with higher prices tags, but this discount helps sweeten the deal.
Also available from Amazon at the same price.

Save 29% (AU$203.62)Motorola Edge 60 Fusion: was AU$699 now AU$495.38 at AmazonOne of the best cheap phones in Australia, this Motorola handset is packed full of value if you don't need the latest and bestest phone on the market. For your money, you get a vivid display, impressive battery life and very good everyday performance. Don't expect it to handle heavy gaming, but its plenty for the average user. Note that the Slipstream (dark blue) variant is cheapest – lower than the Black Friday price – but the other two colour options are AU$497 (the same Black Friday offer).

Save 20% (AU$167.01)Google Pixel 9a (128GB, Peony): was AU$847 now AU$679.99 at AmazonThe Google Pixel 9a is still a respectable entry level-premium option with a great camera and long-term support. Our reviewer found its camera provides some of the best macro photography capabilities anywhere, and that it boasts the same Tensor G4 chip found in the more expensive Pixel 9 models. It’s worth noting that while there will likely be a Pixel 10a sometime in the first quarter of 2026, the Pixel 9a is still good value.

Save 10% (AU$102)Apple iPhone 16e (128GB): was AU$999 now AU$897 at AmazonIf you want to buy this phone outright, Amazon is matching its Black Friday price that we saw from The Good Guys in November. Sitting somewhere between the previous iPhone SE and its flagship iPhone 16 sibling, this 2025 release offers the Apple experience with a few less bells and whistles in exchange for a reduced price tag. Its smaller form factor (6.1-inch screen size) may also be appealing to fans of the iPhone minis of yore.

Save 40% (AU$22)Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 (1 pack): was AU$55 now AU$33 at AmazonSamsung's alternative to Apple's AirTag was redesigned in 2023 and has been reasonably well received, making it a good Bluetooth tracker for non-Apple users. It'll let you keep tabs on the location of whatever you attach it to and, critically, it works with Android. A single unit has been as cheap as AU$29, but this is still a recommendable price.

Save 18% (AU$30.01)Apple AirTag (4-pack): was AU$165 now AU$134.99 at KoganIf you've been looking for a set of tracking tags perfect for the Apple ecosystem, AirTags are your best bet, and although this 16% discount isn't much, it's about the usual offer we've typically seen on Apple's Bluetooth tracker set. This means each tracker is just AU$33,75 and a lot cheaper than just buying a single unit.

Save 24% (AU$92)Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ (128GB, Wi-Fi): was AU$379 now AU$287 at AmazonThe latest in Samsung's well-received budget tablet range, the A11 picks up where the A9 left off, and at the same price too. This is the base model, with just Wi-Fi connectivity and 128GB of storage, but you can expand that easily to up to 2TB via a microSD card. If you need an Android tablet for daily use like browsing, watching videos and maybe playing a few games, this one's well worth considering.

Save 50% (AU$1,050)Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (256GB): was AU$2,099 now AU$1,049 at JB Hi-FiThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a powerful tablet, boasting a huge 14.6-inch AMOLED screen with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. It's well-designed for browsing online, sketching, or watching your favourite shows, but it's also perfectly capable of being a complete laptop replacement once paired with a keyboard.

Save 17% (AU$50)Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024): was AU$299 now AU$249 at AmazonWhile this discount isn't massive and is AU$20 more than what we saw over Black Friday, it's still a discount to consider on what I think is the best Kindle on the market. Its E Ink Carta 1300 screen is fantastic, page turns are quick and I gave it 4 stars in my review.

Save 18% (AU$70)Kindle Colorsoft (16GB): was AU$399 now AU$329 at AmazonUsing a 7-inch E Ink display with support for over 4,000 colours, 16GB storage and up to eight weeks' battery life on a single charge, the Colorsoft is hard to pass up, especially if you mostly read comics, manga or graphic novels. While it's not the most impressive discount (it was AU$20 cheaper for Black Friday), a AU$70 reduction isn't something to scoff at.

Save 28% (AU$179.50)Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024; 16GB): was AU$649 now AU$469.50 at AmazonKindles are known for their reading capabilities, but with the Kindle Scribe, you get that and a whole lot more. With a wide range of writing features, you can take notes, create sketches and brainstorm like a pro. I use it every day and love the 10.2-inch glare-free screen that has its own ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness automatically, and I can't complain about its battery life either.

Save 45% (AU$200.95)Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds: was AU$449.95 now AU$249 at Amazon45% off these fantastic buds is definitely a deal worth checking out what has been one of the best true wireless buds until the second-generation was released. Its ANC performance is par excellence and, being Bose, it doesn't compromise on sound either. Standout is the feature called Immersive Audio that makes a huge difference if you like your music 'surrounding' you.

Save 26% (AU$104)Sony WF-1000XM5: was AU$399 now AU$295 at AmazonThis is a fantastic deal on Sony's flagship in-ears, although the pink variant was down to AU$249 not that long ago and this offer on the black colourway is AU$2 cheaper than what I saw during Black Friday. With very good sound, incredible comfort, and some of the best battery life on any earbuds with ANC, the WF-1000XM5 are a steal at this price.

The Immersive sound is excellent, and there’s also up to seven hours of play time and up to 48 hours of standby time. They simply just work and work very well. Note that only the black colourway is this price thanks to an additional AU$5.01 coupon.

Save 39% (AU$255.01)Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones : was AU$649 now AU$393.99 at AmazonThanks to a further price drop, the QC Ultra are now AU$11 more than the lowest price we've seen, making this quite the bargain on what is arguably still one of the best ANC cans on the market. Their sound quality is nothing short of exquisite, and the ability to turn any song into a spatial audio one thanks to Immersive Mode earns it another gold star. For a limited time, only the black option gets a small AU$5.01 additional coupon discount.

Save 25% (AU$31.95)JBL Grip: was AU$129.95 now AU$98 at AmazonThe JBL Grip plugs the gap between the smaller Clip and formidable Flip. In our review, we are impressed by the big sound, the impressive protection against dust and water and the nifty LED lighting on its rear. And with up to 14 hours of playback on a single charge, this ain't too bad if you want something cheaper than the Flip 7 or the Charge 6.

Save 31% (AU$54.95)JBL Flip 7: was AU$179.95 now AU$125 at AmazonThis relatively new Bluetooth speaker has been discounted to AU$157 before, making this deal an even better price. Save 31% (AU$77.96)Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen): was AU$249.95 now AU$171.99 at AmazonClean, detailed sound, full protection against dust and water and all packaged in a gorgeous body, the Bose SoundLink Flex is a Bluetooth speaker you'll want to take with you everywhere you go. Nearly all the colourways were going for AU$152 in July, so this isn't as good but still a discount worth considering for a pint-sized Bose speaker.

Save 26% (AU$60)LG xboom Grab: was AU$229 now AU$169 at AmazonAs we found in our LG xboom Grab review, the South Korean's re-entry to Bluetooth speakers is largely a success, as this portable model does an awful lot to pose a genuine challenge to JBL. Save 50% (AU$350)Samsung Music Frame: was AU$699 now AU$349 at Samsung AustraliaIt may not be the best speaker, but I don't think Samsung meant it to be a speaker first. It's more a picture frame that happens to be a speaker. It's solidly built, looks good and has room-filling sound. If you're an audiophile, you'll likely be disappointed by its lack of detail, but the average listener might enjoy it. And it's definitely a worthwhile consideration at half price.

Save 25% (AU$250)Dyson V9 Submarine: was AU$999 now AU$749 at Dyson AustraliaDyson quietly released this model earlier this year, offering a cheaper way to get yourself a wet-and-dry vacuum. It has lesser suction power than the V15s Detect, but we haven't been able to try it for ourselves yet. It also lasts no more than 40 minutes on a single charge. Save 46% (AU$673)Dyson V15 Detect Absolute: was AU$1,449 now AU$776 at Dyson AustraliaIt might be getting a little long in the tooth but the V15 Detect is still arguably the best-value Dyson you can buy. This isn't the cheapest it's been, but it didn't even get discounted during Black Friday last month, so this offer definitely needs highlighting. It's lighter than the models that came after it, runs up to 60 minutes on a single charge (albeit in low suction and non-motorised tools), and the Fluffy Optic is a game changer for cleaning fine particles off hard floors.

Save 43% (AU$673)Dyson Gen5detect Absolute: was AU$1,549 now AU$876 at Dyson AustraliaScoring AU$673 off Dyson's most powerful cordless vac is a great deal in my opinion, and you're getting it directly from the maker. This machine gets you up to 280 air watts of suction, which is plenty powerful even for the hairiest of carpets, plus up to 70 minutes of runtime (if used on low power and non-motorised attachments). It's a little top heavy in my opinion, but it's an excellent cleaner if you need a new vacuum.

This offer still makes it an expensive investment but if there's any robovac that combines good looks with top-notch performance, it's this one. In fact, it's cleaning better than the Deebot X8 listed above.

Save 23% (AU$700)Ecovacs Deebot X11 OmniCyclone: was AU$2,999 now AU$2,299 at EcovacsWhen it comes to innovation in robot vacuums, I think the latest flagship in the Ecovacs range is the highlight. It's the world's first robovac to have fast-charging capabilities so it can work for longer, plus its base station completely does away with dust bags, reducing your ongoing costs. It can even wash the roller mop while it's fully soaked in hot water. It's still an expensive robot vacuum, but there's nothing quite like it right now – not at this price.

Save 38% (AU$499.96)Fujifilm X Half: was AU$1,299.95 now AU$799.99 at Ted's CamerasOfficially, this film camera-inspired digital version is called the X-HF1, but it made headlines as the X Half. If you're a film photography buff but don't have the cash to spend on rolls (and the subsequent processing of the negatives), this is one offer not to be missed.

There's even up to 8 stops of image stabilisation to keep it steady while on the move. Note, however, that this isn't as good a discount as the 21% might seem as the street price of the A7R V body is about AU$4,999.

Panasonic's custom colour profiles are next level, plus it has a new MP4 Lite format for 4K videos that are smaller and quicker to process than MP4. It's still an investment and I don't think this price will drop any further this year.

Doing last-minute Christmas shopping? Read this first
We're just days away from Christmas Eve, and while the festive spirit is in full swing, the reality of forgotten shopping has hit. If you’re looking to capitalise on Boxing Day sales in Australia, there are still some excellent ways to score those last-minute deals before Christmas day.1. Shop on Amazon or KoganAmazon is the easiest option here but please note that at this time, even metro areas that are typically able to get same-day delivery may not be able to do so, depending on the product you're after. There are still, however, many items with same- or next-day delivery on Amazon. Kogan, too, is offering expedited delivery at this time.
2. Consider same- or next-day delivery optionsSome stores, like JB Hi-Fi, offer on-demand delivery through services such as Uber. This can be a lifesaver if you find a deal you love and want it delivered straight to your door without waiting. JB Hi-Fi offers two types of Uber deliveries in metro areas:ASAP Delivery: Your order will be delivered within 90 minutes to 2 hours of placing it.Scheduled Delivery: If available, you can select a 2-hour delivery window during the store’s operating hours.
Eligibility: Orders must be placed within 20km of a store offering Uber delivery. Available 7 days a week from store opening until 2 hours before closing time.3. Opt for in-store pickup or click-and-collect
The smartest move, if you spot a deal on our curated Boxing Day sales page, is to order online for in-store pickup. Why? This ensures the item is in stock before you brave the retail madness. Plus, your order will be ready and waiting for you to collect, saving you time and stress. Most major retailers offer this option, making it an ideal way to shop. What to do about Amazon bargainsIf the deal you’ve spotted is on Amazon but delivery isn’t feasible, don’t give up. Check physical stores like JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys for the same product. These retailers often match or closely align with Amazon’s pricing, especially during major sales events like Boxing Day. You might just find the same item for a comparable price (or less if The Good Guys will price beat) and with the added bonus of immediate availability.

An easy Pill to swallow
I was very excited when the new Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker launched in 2024, but I held off for a discount. Sadly, it never saw one, even during Black Friday or Boxing Day last year, but it looks like JB Hi-Fi has permanently dropped the ticket price.
That means this lovely little Bluetooth speaker can now be had for just AU$179 in all colours. I haven't listed it as a deal on this page as this seems to be its standard price now.
The updated model has better sound, better battery and better dust- and waterproofing too. The only thing that could stop some users from swallowing this tasty Pill is the lack of an equaliser, so you're stuck with the sound it makes. Which, let me tell you, is good. So it may not be a deal breaker at all.
