The Kansas City Chiefs signed rookie offensive lineman Esa Pole on Wednesday ahead of their Week 14 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Pole initially signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent earlier this year but spent part of the regular season with the New York Jets, who claimed him off waivers after training camp.

A former Washington State Cougar, Pole was activated for Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but he has yet to take his first snap in the NFL.

The Chiefs announced Pole's signing in a post to their official Twitter account on Wednesday, December 3:

While Pole isn't expected to be among Kansas City's starters on Sunday, his addition to the Chiefs' 53-man roster could put him in a position to take the field for the first time in the weeks to come.

Stay tuned to see how Pole will factor into Kansas City's game plan during the Chiefs' matchup against the Texans in Week 14.
