Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles added help at edge rusher to #Tribe26 today, as Jaemin Pinckney has flipped his commitment from South Florida to Florida State and will sign with the ’Noles.
Pinckney is a 6-foot-5, 217 pound edge rusher who plays for Woodland High in Dorchester, South Carolina. He is considered the 657th best player in the nation by 247Sports Composite (66th best edge, 12th best in SC), though 247 itself considers him a four-star and the 34th best edge rusher in the nation.

He later took an official visit to West Virginia on November 28. With Alex Golesh leaving USF for Auburn, FSU made its move and secured Pinckney.
Pinckney doesn’t have any stats through MaxPreps and projects as a developmental prospect who will need to add more bulk to his frame. FSU will need signifant help along the edge, so it will be interesting to see how quickly Pinckney is able to enter the rotation.
