Jenks (Okla.) three-star running back Kaydin Jones is back in the fold for Oklahoma State. He’s flipped his commitment from Kansas to the in-state Cowboys.

Jones joined the Jayhawks’ class in October after decommitting from Oklahoma State in September. After the Cowboys hired new head coach Eric Morris, Jones has now opted to stay home once again in an important recruiting win for the new skipper in Stillwater.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder is the No. 506 overall prospect and No. 31 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in the Sooner State.

Jones was one of the many recruits to re-open his process as Oklahoma State navigated another poor season, which led to the mid-season firing of longtime head coach Mike Gundy. He had previously considered KU and then locked in with Lance Leipold and the Jayhawks the second time around. He was in Lawrence in November and looked to be solid with the Sunflower State program.

With a new head coach at OSU and a new era underway, the Oklahoma legacy is turning back to his first choice. He becomes the top-ranked commit on a light pledge list in Stillwater.

Jones has had a monster senior season for Jenks, one of the two best high school programs in Oklahoma. The Trojans lost just once in the regular season and scored 530 points, just one point shy of the program record.
