Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have figured that out the hard way over the last few years. Well, let me back up. The Buffs have figured that out the hard way since about 2002. But I digress. It’s important to stock the trenches with big dudes who can move. Xavier Payne (the BEST last name for a safety or an offensive lineman) is a big dude who can move.
The 6’7, 320 pound prospect is one of those Florida boys that Coach Prime values most of all. He plays in Orlando, Florida, which is UCF’s backyard. Despite an offer from the Golden Knights (which should be called the Citronauts) and other big programs in the area like Florida State, Arkansas and Florida, Payne has signed with the Buffs. This is a big get for the offensive triumvirate coaching the line (Andre Gurode, Gunnar White and George Hegamin).
