The Recruitment: Fruean surprised many by committing early to UCLA, but after coach Foster was fired he decommitted from the Bruins. He took visits during the season to Arizona, BYU, and UW with the Huskies eventually winning out to keep him home.
Roster Impact: With the emergence of ZRS this season, the future of the LB position looks very promising next season. Depending on if anyone transfers out, the two deeps could already be set for next season already. Given that, Fruean will likely redshirt in his first season and be heavily in the mix to earn a lot of playing time in his redshirt freshman year.
