New York Giants kicker Younghoe Koo did the unexpected on Monday night
The NFL veteran missed the ball completely while trying for a 47-yard field goal
Koo later said the cold weather contributed to his botched attempt
Younghoe Koo stumped football pundits on Monday night when he stubbed his toes in a botched field goal attempt.
The New York Giants kicker was attempting a 47-yard field goal during the second quarter in the Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots when the snap — and snafu – happened.

The Giants’ holder, Jamie Gillan, recovered the ball and tried to salvage the situation but he was tackled for a 13-yard loss on the unlikely play — all of which was not lost on onlookers.

Younghoe Koo“I have not seen that — ever!" Peyton Manning said on his and brother Eli Manning’s ManningCast, observing that Yoo may have “tripped.”
Eli agreed, as did their special guest Danny DeVito, who both shared that they had “never seen that.”

“Oh my god,” Dart, 22, mouthed, and then turned away from the field in seeming disgust.

For Koo, the 2025 season has been one in which he’s had to make adjustments.
The veteran kicker, who is known for his onside kicking acumen, was released from the Atlanta Falcons after missing a game-tying 43-yard field goal in week 1.
After six years with the Falcons, Koo was scooped up by the Giants where he was signed to the practice squad in September.
