Goalies
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN at EDM (67% rostered)
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRide the hot hand. We’re still waiting for the inevitable crash down to earth, but Wallstedt’s otherworldly play deserves attention until noted otherwise. He’ll be going for his seventh straight win, and though the Oilers offense can be dangerous, they’ve been a mess all season defensively. If Wallstedt can maintain his current level of play and the Oilers malaise continues – both more probable than not – this should be another win for the Wild.
Carter Hart, VGK vs. CHI (27% rostered)
We’ve been since the beginning of the season and it looks like Hart is ready to make his season debut and his first start since Jan. 20, 2024. The 27-year-old had a promising start to his career and now begins a new chapter with the Knights, who are desperate for some quality goaltending.
This is not an easy matchup, but it’s certainly one the Knights can still win, and there’s long-term upside with Hart’s fantasy value; Carl Lindbom was re-assigned to the AHL and the Knights clearly don’t trust Akira Schmid very much. This is a far different Hawks team than the ones Hart faced earlier in his career, but note he’s 2-1-0 with a .930 SP in his career against them.

This is a potential revenge game for Talbot, who lost 3-2 on Saturday against the Bruins after allowing two goals on 19 shots (.895 SP), but also don’t be surprised if the Wings try their luck with John Gibson instead. I think Talbot’s still the superior goalie right now and the Bruins haven’t had a lot of success scoring lately, and have not scored more than three goals since Nov. 11 against the Leafs.
Charlie Lindgren, WSH at LA (9% rostered)
Not a big fan of Lindgren’s play this season – too often it’s subpar – but the Caps are rolling with seven wins in their past eight games, including four straight wins. I like this matchup because the Kings have been trending the other way going 2-1-3 in their past six with only one regulation win and barely scoring two goals per game. Lindgren won their previous matchup on Nov. 17 with one goal allowed on 31 shots (.968 SP).
