Women’s USA Basketball senior national team announced 10 players making their camp debuts next month, which includes Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and JuJu Watkins, among others. The program will host a training camp from Dec. 12-14 on the campus of Duke University.
Sue Bird, the new national team managing director, will use this training camp to evaluate talent in a controlled environment as she prepares to select a team for the 2026 FIBA World Cup next September. Among the stars making their first camp appearances are Lauren Betts, Cameron Brink, Sonia Citron, Rickea Jackson, Veronica Burton, and Kiki Iriafen.

There will be 18 camp participants in total and among those names are Brittney Griner, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Kahleah Copper, Jackie Young and Dearica Hamby.
Former WNBA No. 1 overall pick Aliyah Boston is also expected to attend the camp alongside 2022 World Cup team member Brionna Jones, who was named to the training camp squad. Seven of the 18 camp hoopers Clark, Bueckers, Watkins, Brink, Betts, Boston and Citron have won gold medals previously as junior competitors playing for USA Basketball. Betts, Boston, Burton, Jackson and Reese played for Team USA at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup. Iriafen will be making her debut for USA Basketball.
Last season's college national player of the year, USC's Juju Watkins won't participate on the court as she continues to recover from an ACL injury suffered in March. However, she will be in attendance and have the chance to learn about the women's national team program. The camp will get underway on Friday Dec. 12 and go through the weekend.
