Jonathan Tah says Bayern Munich lost to Arsenal due to costly mistakes

After a run of almost 20 matches unbeaten, Bayern Munich said goodbye to that following a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in the Champions League. The Bavarians were disjointed throughout the match, but Bayern defender Jonathan Tah felt that they lost due to the nitty-gritty of the match.

“For me the game was decided on details and small moments,” Tah explained (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “They got the momentum on their side in the second half and won the game. It’s not about intensity, we’re used to playing every three days with this kind of intensity. The first goal was from a set piece, the second goal we lost the ball near our own box, the third goal from a corner. As I said small details decided the game, not only the goals, but also other moments where we weren’t sharp enough.”

Tah played well in this match all things considered. Either way, lots of things for Vincent Kompany to think about over the course of the next week or so.
