After a stellar showing at the National Duals Invitational from Nov. 15-16 in Tulsa, Okla., No. 3 Iowa wrestling's (5-1) redshirt freshman star Angelo Ferrari won Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors by the conference, according to its announcement on Thursday, Nov. 20.
The 5-foot-10, 184-pound native of Melissa, Texas, earned the distinction after going 4-0 at the National Duals Invitational, where he won against No. 4 Zack Ryder (Oklahoma State), No. 7 Dylan Fishback (Ohio State), No. 8 Aeoden Sinclair (Missouri), and No. 26 Chris Moore (Illinois).

In the finals, Ferrari would claim a 4-1 sudden-victory over Fishback to complete a perfect outing on the mat.
Ferrari is the first Hawkeye to earn Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors this season, and the first since he won it last season on Feb. 26. He also was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week at that time.
Ferrari currently has an overall record of 11-1, a dual record of 2-1, and a Big Ten dual record of 0-1.
