Oklahoma has dialed up a huge recruiting weekend for the regular season finale on Saturday as the eight-ranked Sooners host LSU in a pivotal game that could lock up a home date in the College Football Playoff.
It’s also an opportunity for Brent Venables and the Sooners staff to add a few more top targets to their talented 2026 recruiting class.

Oklahoma is expecting the majority of their 2026 class back in Norman. A group that is fired up about their future playing college football in Norman.
“Coach Venables sticks to his words and I just can’t wait to play in a tough program like he coaches,” prized quarterback commit Bowe Bentley said earlier this fall.
Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers offensive tackle Jonas Muya visits this weekend. The 6-foot-7, 280-pound high upside prospect completed his first season of football this fall.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing how the staff and the coaches at Oklahoma develop their players on and off the field,” Muya said. “That’s the biggest thing I want to learn more about on my visit, the way they train, teach and build their guys into complete athletes and men.”

Friendswood (Texas) offensive lineman and Tulane commit Noah Abebe is another major target heading to The Palace this weekend to check out the Sooners. A former tight end, Oklahoma is pushing hard to add the athletic point of attack player to the fold.
Daphne (Ala.) High edge rusher Malique’ Franklin is taking his official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. He is a former offensive lineman that is shining on the defensive front in his final prep season. In 12 games he posted 98 tackles including 23 stops for loss and 11 sacks with 19 more hurries. Sooners General Manager Jim Nagy knows Daphe High well and has a lot of connections in the area.
A look at the Oklahoma class heading into the weekend. The Sooners also continue to push for edge rusher Dane Bathurst and four-star receiver Jayden Petit. Bathurst visited last weekend for the win over Missouri and will decide soon. Petit is a verbal to Wisconsin that continues to trend well for OU after his visit earlier this season.
