Lions legend Lomas Brown is one step closer to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame announced the 26 modern-era players who made the cut as semifinalists for the induction class of 2026. Brown, who played left tackle in Detroit for 11 seasons, is among the names who advance to the next stage of voting. He is the only player with Lions ties to advance in the process.

Among the points of emphasis for Brown's candidacy:
Most NFL games (263) and starts at offensive tackle (251)
Seven Pro Bowls, three All-Pro nods
Brown committed one holding penalty in a seven-season span and just three in the 1990s, a decade in which he played more games than any other offensive tackle
Won a Super Bowl in his final season (Buccaneers)
Brown continues to serve the Lions as the color commentator on the Detroit radio broadcast.
