Many of the girls basketball players to watch in area still aren't seniors.

Many of the top girls basketball players in the area last season were underclassmen.

That means there are at least two more seasons to see some of them play. In fact, there are only 13 seniors on the following list of players to watch this year.

High school football Area high school football players on Northwest District list

Makenna Moritz averaged 16.9 points and 9.5 rebounds as a sophomore for Genoa last season. Addisyn Moritz averaged 12.5 points as a junior and classmate Lucy Schlageter returns as well.

Brooke Tabbert averaged 14.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.1 steals as a sophomore for Oak Harbor. Senior Karder Haas is back.

Kayla Hessick averaged 16 points and 2.9 steals as a junior for St. Joseph Central Catholic.

Kaitlyn Turinsky averaged 11.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.9 blocks as a junior for Bellevue. Juniors CJ Savage and Ellie Freitag have plenty of experience. New Riegel transfer Ava Jakubcin-Theis is a freshman.

Ariana Florio averaged nearly eight points and nearly eight rebounds as a junior for Woodmore. Seniors Kelsey Kaylor and Camille Strong return.

Elly Evarts has 1,127 points after two seasons for Gibsonburg. Leah Hall is back after missing nearly all of her junior season with an injury and junior Emma Jividen returns.

Taitum Jeffrey averaged 16.5 points and 9.4 rebounds as a sophomore for Clyde.

Cassidy Lane averaged 11.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals as a junior for Margaretta. Seniors Kenadie Saylor and Ellyse Schaefer are back.

Thea Wybensinger averaged nine points and 2.3 steals as a freshman for Port Clinton.

Lauren Bergman averaged eight points as a sophomore for Danbury.

Rylee Markel averaged 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds as a junior for Lakota.

Adelyn Dick averaged 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and two steals as a freshman for Old Fort. Junior Abbi Ward is back.
