OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Kentucky Wesleyan men’s basketball team held off a second half comeback attempt by Simmons College to win their third straight game in the Owensboro Sportscenter 78-61.

The Panthers went into the half leading 41-32, but a 7-2 run by the Falcons cut the lead to four early in the second half. From there Kentucky Wesleyan turned up the defensive pressure holding Simmons to 29 total points in the second half, three less than the first half.

Ke’Andre Jones led the way for the Panthers with 13 points and five rebounds. While LaVonte Harris added 11 points, five assists, three blocks, and two steals. Armandas Plintauskas rounded out the scoring group in double figures with 10 points.

Kentucky Wesleyan will finish out non-conference play on the road Wednesday, November 26th at Missouri-St. Louis before taking a holiday break.
