For the eighth consecutive year in a row, the Bixby Spartans will be an Oklahoma high school football state champion.
Though unlike their high-scoring selves, the Spartans had to hold off an upset-minded Owasso group to hold on for the 24-17 win to nab the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OHSAA) Class 6A-I state championship at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Chad Richison Stadium.

To repeat as Oklahoma state champions, Bixby (13-0) had to rely upon their defame to answer the bell in place of their offense, which entered the night averaging around 60 points per game.
