The Philadelphia Phillies are seemingly headed for an eventful offseason. They have multiple stars on the free agent market, including Kyle Schwarber and Ranger Suárez. But they could also look to swing some trades in the coming months.

There are multiple players the Phillies could target on the trade block this winter. But there are also players in Philadelphia who could be moved off the roster before next season.

MLB.com's Mark Feinsand recently listed All-Star outfielder Nick Castellanos as the team's top trade candidate this offseason.

"Castellanos has become a staple on every trade list, but with one year and $20 million remaining on his contract, it seems more likely than ever that he’ll be playing elsewhere by Opening Day," Feinsand wrote. "The Phillies will likely have to pay down his salary to move Castellanos, who still has the ability to hit the ball out of the park."

Trading Castellanos would be the best-case scenario for the Phillies, especially if they're looking to add an outfielder this winter. The Phillies could be a landing spot for Luis Robert Jr.

The Phillies have some outfield prospects emerging under their noses right now, which helps make Castellanos expendable. The idea makes perfect sense and the Phillies could be aggressive enough to pull it off.
