The SMU Mustangs are a bowl game away from completing their second season as an ACC member, and the tenure has started better than most people could have imagined.

SMU qualified for the ACC Championship Game and College Football Playoff in year one, and in year two, the Mustangs were excruciatingly close to another ACC title appearance — standing a California touchdown in the final minute of the regular season away from booking a second-straight trip to Charlotte.

SMU produced a 6-2 record in the ACC this year, and several Mustangs were honored for their individual performances all season. Here are the five 2025 all-conference selections from The Hilltop:

First Team

G Logan Parr: Parr is now a three-time all-conference selection. He earned First Team All-AAC honors during SMU’s final season in its former conference and checked in as a Third Team All-ACC selection last year. Parr is back on the First Team in 2025 after thriving on the interior for a well-balanced offense.

FS Ahmaad Moses: Moses upgraded from honorable mention to First Team All-ACC this year after a spectacular season which featured three interceptions — good for third in the FBS. He picked off Miami (FL) twice in SMU’s most marquee win all season, generating the takeaway which swung the game in overtime. Moses also led the team with 91 tackles and recovered two fumbles.

Second Team

OT PJ Williams: Williams is now a two-time All-ACC honoree. He jumped up a rank after earning a spot on the Third Team in 2024 and is one of two SMU linemen honored as all-conference in 2025. A redshirt sophomore and second-year starter, Williams helped keep the nation’s 13th-ranked passing offense afloat throughout the year by anchoring the right side.

DE Isaiah Smith: Smith was a massive reason the Mustangs continued their success in 2025. SMU replaced its entire defensive line, and Smith seamlessly fulfilled one vacancy with 8.5 sacks and an ACC-best 17 tackles for loss. He generated 51 tackles and forced a fumble, serving as the premier face of a formidable d-line.

Third Team

WR Jordan Hudson: Hudson essentially missed the first three games of the season after suffering an injury on SMU’s first snap of 2025. But the receiver returned as a full-fledged star, securing team-bests in receptions (56), yards (749), and touchdowns (6) on a dynamic aerial offense. Hudson was at his sharpest when needed most, producing over 130 yards against Clemson and Miami (FL).
