No changes for Florida basketball in AP Top 25 poll after Week 3

The Florida Gators played just one game this week on the college basketball court — a blowout home victory over the Merrimack Warriors to improve their record to 4-1 early on in the 2025-26 campaign.

Todd Golden's frontcourt still looks like the best in the country, while the team's two transfer guards, Xavian Lee and Boogie Flanders, still look to figure things out from beyond the 3-point line. Nonetheless, the Orange and Blue continue to beat the teams it should ahead of a challenging schedule just around the corner.

With just one win against a very overmatched opponent, it should come as no surprise that Florida remained ranked 10th in this week's AP Top 25. The BYU Cougars still bookend them in the No. 9 spot, while the Michigan State Spartans jumped up six spots to take the No. 11 position.

SEC schools in AP Top 25 after Week 3

The Southeastern Conference is represented by seven schools this week, with the Alabama Crimson Tide leapfrogging the Gators to take the No. 8 spot to headline the league. After them and Florida come the Tennessee Volunteers (No. 17), Kentucky Wildcats (No. 19), Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 21), Auburn Tigers (No. 22) and Vanderbilt Commodores (No. 24).

The Missouri Tigers (20) and Ole Miss Rebels (10) also received votes.
