Longtime fan-favorite actress and MCU star Scarlett Johansson is apparently set for the DCU. Per multiple reports, the beloved starlet is in talks to star alongside Robert Pattinson in "The Batman: Part II."

Per the report from Deadline, sources have indicated to the publication that Johansson is in final talks with director Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. to land a prominent role in the upcoming sequel.

What is interesting is whether or not the "Batman" sequel plans to bring back Selena Kyle actress, Zoe Kravitz. If she is confirmed to reprise her role, it would place Johansson as another potential villain or compatriot for Bruce Wayne and Batman.

There are a number of villains that Johansson could play, including the likes of Talia al Ghul, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn.

Considering the other side of things, Johansson could play someone like Barbara Gordon, Katherine "Kat" Kane aka Batwoman, Huntress, and so many more.

If Reeves were to bring in Johansson as Harley Quinn, it would make the return of Margot Robbie seem a bit more dubious. Robbie has been a mainstay in DC, and there were talks that DCU head honcho James Gunn would bring her back. Then again, the Reeves-led "Batman" films are considered Elseworlds, meaning they do not exist on the same plane as the mainline DCU films.

Robbie's Quinn and the potential of Johansson playing Quinn would make sense and still be allowed. It might confuse fans a bit, but both would exist in their own respective universes.

Simply put, the DCU would get a huge star in Johansson if she is confirmed to sign on to take a role in "The Batman: Part II." If she does, fans will presumably go wild with theories about who she may be potraying.
