Emily Kane, a junior from Milford, competed Friday, Nov. 21, in the NYSPHSAA Swim Championships in Webster, placing 36th in the 200 Individual Medley in 2:18.76.
Nov. 1, Kane won the Section III B/C title in the 200IM, setting a section record in 2:17.64, according to Swimcloud. She broke that record at the Section III State Qualifier on Nov. 4, posting first place in 2:17.42.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKane also won the B/C title in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.08. She placed third in the 100 breast at the qualifier, in 1:09.32.
Kane made the state meet for the third time in her varsity career.
As a freshman, Kane placed 45th in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:21.82.
Last year, she placed 27th in the 100 breaststroke and 38th in the 200 IM.
