After his week 13 performance where he ran the ball 18 times for 125 yards and a TD (6.9ypc), Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift was awarded FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week. He shared the aware this week with Green Back Packers quarterback, Jordan Love.
It seems like the greatest rivalry in all of sports has two teams peaking at the right time.

If you have visited the Windy City Gridiron comments over the last year, you would be very well aware of how critical fans have been of the former Georgia Bulldog. After averaging a paltry 3.8ypc in his first season in Chicago, many expected him to be replaced or outright released coming into this season. Much of the criticism was warranted though as Swift failed to run with decisiveness and consistency as evidenced by his 2nd worst all-time success percentage on runs in 2024 at 43.9% and only 43 total first downs. Already in this season, Swift has notched 44 first downs and sports a 50.6% success rate. To say Swift has been having a stellar bounce back season would be an understatement – as many fans are now clamoring for him to stick around for the entirety of his contract or even get extended.
Regardless of how many seasons D’Andre Swift plays in Chicago, what all Bears fans can agree on is how awesome it is seeing he and rookie RB Kyle Monangai ground and pound opponents each and every week. “The Bruise Brothers” (shout out to WCG comment section) look to continue that domination once again on the road in week 13 against the Packers in Lambeau Field.
