FSU has signed its signal caller for #Tribe26.

Jaden O’Neal s been committed to Florida State since June 22, 2025, having flipped to the Seminoles after initially committing to the Oklahoma Sooners. 247Sports Composite has O’Neal as the 344th best player in the nation (24th best QB, 4th best player in Oklahoma).

O’Neal racked up 30 offers and was a solid commitment to the Sooners until they fired offensive coordinator Seth Littrell and replaced him with Ben Arbuckle prior to the 2025 season. The Sooners continued to recruit other highly-rated quarterback prospects, which led O’Neal to start searching elsewhere and eventually decommitting on June 19. FSU staff completed the flip a couple days later.

O’Neal finished with 2,622 yards on 61% accuracy to go with 29 touchdown passes against three interceptions. He isn’t as mobile as you’d like to see and therefore isn’t a perfect fit in Gus Malzahn’s offense, but he can certainly operate within it and shows decent footwork. While his accuracy will need to improve quite a bit, he also takes good enough care of the ball not to force many turnovers.

From his official Florida State bio:

Four-star quarterback from Mustang High School in Oklahoma…No. 173 on ESPN’s SCNext 300…No. 8 quarterback and No. 1 prospect from Oklahoma by ESPN…rated as top-50 quarterback by Rivals and 247Sports…completed 151 passes for 2,622 yards and 29 passing touchdowns in 10 games during senior season while leading Mustang to 6A-I quarterfinals in state playoffs…completed 71 percent of passes at Narbonne in California during junior season…threw for 1,798 yards, 17 touchdowns and one interception in eight games at Narbonne…in 2023 as sophomore at Newport Harbor in California, threw for 2,475 yards and 27 touchdowns with 209 completions…committed to Florida State in June 2025 over offers from Oklahoma, Georgia and Auburn, among others.
