Wait, the Los Angeles Dodgers could get Byron Buxton?
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThat's the latest trade rumor, and if the Dodgers land the Minnesota Twins' uber-talented centerfielder, it'd just be unfair to the rest of MLB.
The Dodgers are back-to-back World Series champions. Why not just pencil them in for a third?
ESPN's Tim Keown suggested on Wednesday that the Twins should trade Buxton to the Dodgers.

Buxton has a no-trade clause, but it seems like he'd probably waive it for the chance to play for the champs.
"This falls into the 'Why? Because they can, that's why' category," Keown writes. "Enough is never enough for the Dodgers, so this offseason's installment of making sure they have too much is the acquisition of the best available player at the position they may actually believe they need to upgrade. Move Andy Pages to left, slot Buxton into the top half of the lineup and go for three in a row."

Buxton is coming off his most consistent season with the Twins. He stayed healthy and put up a career best Wins Above Replacement.
Injuries have always been the bugaboo with Buxton, but shoot, the Dodgers have so much depth and talent that they could plan in advance for that.
And if Buxton were to go to L.A. and then stay healthy for another whole season, the Dodgers would be even more potent than they already are.
