The Georgia Bulldogs made a couple of late additions to the class of 2026 on the first day of the early signing period. Georgia signed previously uncommitted four-star offensive line recruit Tyreek Jemison and the Bulldogs flipped and signed Coastal Carolina commit Terrence Penick.

Penick is a three-star linebacker recruit from South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker is one of Georgia's lowest ranked signed recruits in the class of 2026, but he should not be overlooked.

Penick is ranked as the No. 1735 recruit in the country and the No. 158 linebacker. The South Gwinnett star is the No. 164 prospect in Georgia, per the 247Sports Composite. He had been committed to Coastal Carolina since June.

What does Penick bring to Georgia? He has good speed and is a versatile athlete. He has upside as a blitzer.

As a junior, he played both linebacker and wide receiver. He returned a blocked kick for a touchdown on special teams and flashed versatility. The talented athlete also plays basketball and runs track. He runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, according to his social media account.

As a senior, Penick looked significantly stronger and more explosive on tape. He frequently delivered big hits and showed improvement in pass coverage. Georgia recently offered Penick on Nov. 30 and was late to his recruitment. He visited Georgia for the Ole Miss game on Oct. 18.

The three-star had offers from Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, Rice, South Florida and more. He also had offers from Princeton, Yale and other Ivy League programs, which shows that he is a dedicated student.
