It’s National Signing Day (and Dave’s birthday; happy birthday, Dave!), and NC State has made 24 additions in its 2026 class official. That includes a couple of commitments today: junior college edge Josh Warren Jr. and in-state linebacker Caleb Gordon, who flipped from West Virginia.
State’s five highest-ranked signees, in order: receiver Amiri Acker (from South Carolina), receiver Tyreek Copper (NC), linebacker Zykir Moore (PA), safety D’Various Surratt (NC), and safety Kody Sarkodie (MD). All five are high-three-star prospects, as the Pack did not land an officially-minted four-star kid in the 247 Composite rankings. Surratt goes by Pluto, though, which by default makes him a blue-chip recruit. It makes sense that he plays safety, the most distant object in the football solar system at the start of each play.

The next major recruiting milestone is the opening of the transfer portal in about a month. Roster chaos across the country will be underway soon enough.
