New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel spoke about defensive tackle Cory Durden following the team's 33-15 win over the New York Giants on Monday night.

Durden was a solid contributor along the defensive front in a game where the Patriots were missing both Milton Williams and Khyiris Tonga. He could be seen doing some smack-talking on the field against his former team.

It probably felt like a revenge game after the Giants waived him as part of their final roster cuts in August.

“Cory Durden has been playing a lot for us, and we brought him over here from the Giants," Vrabel told reporters. "They let him go, and that game meant a lot to him. They told him that he wasn’t good enough to play for the Giants, and we thought that he was good enough to play for the Patriots.”

If anything, Durden's performance is proof that the Patriots have more depth on their roster than some people think. Vrabel's message is getting through to every player on the roster, and guys are stepping up to the plate whenever their name is called.
