Nebraska has added another weapon to its offense with the signing of Nalin Scott, a big-bodied wide receiver from the talent-rich state of Georgia. At 6’1″ and 200 pounds, Scott has the frame to win contested catches and bring physicality to the perimeter—traits Nebraska has sorely needed. Though ranked the No. 124 receiver nationally and the No. 93 player in Georgia, he brings raw tools the staff believes they can develop.
The Huskers have struggled to grow their own receivers in recent years, often turning to the portal for reinforcements—an unsustainable long-term strategy. At some point, young talent has to break through, and there’s no reason Scott can’t be that guy. While major powers didn’t heavily recruit him, Nebraska’s staff clearly saw something they believe can translate.
A strong, competitive receiver with upside is headed to Lincoln.
