Tracking Maryland football’s National Signing Day activity

National Signing Day is upon us, and it’s a big one for Maryland football. Head coach Michael Locksley has secured 15 hard commits in the 2026 class and looks to keep that group intact — if not make it bigger.

All eyes are on Locksley’s prized recruit, five-star edge rusher Zion Elee. The Baltimore native and St. Frances product is the 247Sports Composite’s No. 5 player and No. 1 edge rusher in the 2026 class, and Maryland’s highest-rated recruit in the 247Sports rankings era.

We’ll keep you updated with the status of all of Maryland’s commits, as well as news on anyone who joins or leaves that group.

• As of 9 a.m. ET, all but three of Maryland’s 15 previous commits have signed. The three that haven’t — Elee, three-star tight end Damon Hall Jr. and three-star cornerback Hakim Satterwhite — attend St. Frances in Baltimore. Their signing ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m.

• Maryland has a flip! Three-star wide receiver Josiah Teasley, who was previously committed to Virginia, announced this morning that he has signed with the Terps. He stands 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, and attends The St. James Performance Academy in Virginia. He’ll join fellow St. James teammate and receiver, three-star Jayden Kitchens, in College Park.
