Less than two weeks after flipping his commitment from Texas A&M to Oklahoma, high-school running back Jonathan Hatton Jr. signed on Wednesday to play his collegiate football with the Sooners.
Hatton had initially committed to Oklahoma during October of his junior year, but decommitted in December 2024 following changes to the Sooners’ offensive coaching staff. He swapped back to the Sooners ahead of Texas A&M’s loss to Texas.

Hatton ran for at least 1,200 yards in his last three high-school seasons and drew rave reviews from 247’s scouting analyst Gabe Brooks.
“Through middle of senior year, looks the best he’s looked in high school career,” Brooks wrote. “Projects as a possible high-major back who could develop into a multi-year starter with legitimate pro upside.”
