Remember a few months ago when we were worried about Eli Drinkwitz’s high school recruiting bonafides? That was a fun time, huh?

Mizzou’s newly-extended head coach has worked through a lot of flaws since he arrived in Columbia, but one thing he’s never struggled with has been connecting with high school recruits. He and his staff are the most prolific recruiting group in program history, and they’ve continued that momentum in good times and bad. And while the 2026 cycle got off to something of a slow start, we round into National Signing Day with Mizzou set to sign another Top 25 recruiting class. The Tigers rank 25th in 247 Sports team rankings as of this morning, while On3/Rivals has them just a touch higher at 24th.

And although the Tigers took a small step backward this week, losing 4-star RB commit TJ Hodges to Arkansas, the class is still loaded with depth and blue-chip talent. National Signing Day isn’t as dramatic as it used to be, but always be ready for a surprise or two.
