The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (11-1) play the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-2) in the 2025 SEC championship. Georgia plays Alabama for the second time this season. The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia, 24-21, in Athens back in September. The Alabama game is Georgia's only loss of the season.
The SEC championship will kick off at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 6. Georgia-Alabama game will be televised on ABC. Chris Fowler (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst), Holly Rowe (sideline) and Laura Rutledge (sideline) will call the game.

The Bulldogs are favored by less than a field goal against Alabama despite Georgia's struggles against the Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs or Crimson Tide always find a way to make it to Atlanta with at least one of the two teams playing in all of the last 12 SEC championships.
Georgia is 0-4 in the SEC championship against Alabama including 0-3 during the coach Kirby Smart era. Alabama has beaten Georgia in 10 of the last 11 meetings. The Bulldogs' lone recent win over Alabama came in the 2021-2022 national championship.
Georgia is making their fifth consecutive SEC championship appearance (eighth of the Kirby Smart era) and is looking to win a second consecutive SEC title. Alabama last won SEC championship in 2023. "SEC championship game, awesome opportunity for our guys," Smart said.
The winner of the SEC championship should have an inside track to getting a bye in the first-round of the College Football Playoff. The loser will likely have a much more difficult playoff path.
