Until the idiots at the NCAA fix it, the Early Signing Period is the de facto National Signing Day. Alabama is in position for another Top 5 class.

COMMITS

  • RB Ezavier “EJ” Crowell 5-star, Jackson, AL (5’11”/215) – He’s only 17! Re-classified from the 2027 class to the Class of 2026. Ranked as one of the top running backs in the nation; entered his final season of high school football as a 4-star and emerged as a bona fide Top 20 5-star; Crowell missed the first game of the season and still has 2,324 yards and 30 touchdowns.

  • EDGE Xavier Griffin 5-star, Gainesville, GA (6’3”/205) – The Next Jihaad? Griffin smartly decommitted from Southern Cal over the summer. Some crootin’ experts compare the versatile linebacker to Jihaad Campbell even while he was still committed to the Trojans. He may need to put on some weight but he is often called a “playmaker” by scouts. Some believe he will play Rush linebacker for the Tide, a spot primarily filled by Yhonzae Pierre this season.

  • S Jireh Edwards 5-star, St. Frances in Baltimore (6-2/205) – St. Frances plays in the inaugural Overtime Nationals High School Football Championship, a sort of “National Championship”. It will air on ESPN2 on Wednesday, December 10, at 6pm CT/7pm ET.

  • CB Jorden Edmonds Top 30 4-star, Marietta, GA (6’3”/180) – No. 1 ranked cornerback.

  • WR Cederian Morgan Top 50 4-star, Alexander City, AL (6-4/220) – 82 receptions, 1,432 yards, 16 touchdowns this fall. He also excels in basketball (14.4 ppg,11.3 rpg), the high jump (state runner-up as a junior), and has run a 21.74 in 200-meter and 11.19 in the 100 in addition to clearing 6-4 in the HJ multiple times.

  • EDGE Jamarion “Juice” Matthews Top 50 4-star, Gainesville, GA (6’2.5”/250)

  • CB Zyan Gibson Top 65 4-star, Gadsden, AL (6’1”/172)

  • EDGE Nolan Wilson Top 70 4-star, Picayune, MS (6’4”/258) – Miami-FL threw all kinds of money and probably other (ahem) incentives at him, but he has completely shut down his recruitment and stick with Bama.

  • QB Jett Thomalla Top 70 4-star, Omaha, NE (6’3.5”/200) – Will have his signing ceremony on Thursday.

  • TE Mack Sutter Top 100 4-star, Dunlap, IL (6’6”/230)

  • OT Jared Doughty 4-star, Atlanta, GA (6’5.5”/300)

  • IOL Chris Booker 4-star, Atlanta, GA (6’4”/285)

  • DE Kamhariyan “Mhari” Johnson 4-star, Muscle Shoals, AL (6’3”/265)

  • EDGE Malique’ Franklin 3-star, Daphne, AL (6’6”/252) – NEW! Committed on Tuesday; 98 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 12 games this season; chose the Crimson Tide over Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.

  • DB Rihyael Kelley 3-star, Cincinnati, OH (6’3”/180)

  • EDGE Corey Howard 3-star, Valdosta, GA (6’6”/260)

  • QB Tayden Kaawa 3-star Orem, Honolulu, HI > UT (6’4”/235)

  • WR Owen Cabell 3-star, Nashville, TN (6’3”/195) – Ranking moved up from No. 1140 to 628.

  • IOL Bear Fretwell 3-star, Brooklet, GA (6’6”/295)

  • LB Zay Hall 3-star, Tuscaloosa, AL (Hillcrest) (6’2.5”/222)

  • OL Tyrell Miller NR, College of San Mateo (6’5”/305) – NEW! Lost in the shuffle of the Iron Bowl, Bama got a Saturday commit from a juco. He quietly took an official visti to T-town for the Eastern Illinois game. He only started playing football only three years ago having primarily foucsed on basketball until he got too thicc. Miller picked the Tide over Oregon and Cal. He is a January enrollee.

COMMITTED BUT NOT EXPECTED

  • DE Jerimy Finch 3-star, Indianapolis, IN – Appeared to be full on for Alabama; Wanted to visit Tennessee and they put the full court press on this guy and he likely flips. UT reportedly made him a good “rev-share offer”. Alabama was not so crazy about this and is not fighting to keep him. The addition of Franklin is a pretty good indication of their stance on Finch.

  • RB Javari Barnett 3-star, Tampa, FL – He is not expected to sign with the Tide. The experts think he ends up with Illinois – his initial school commit – if that tells you anything; Not an early enrollee; There have been some academic concerns.

  • WR Brian Williams 3-star Orlando, FL – Lied about being shot down in a helicopter in Iraq. Oh, wait. Wrong Brian Williams; Bama backed off on him several months ago. He began looking at USF. With Alex Golesh now at Auburn, they are the new leader for him. Aubies will brag about a flip, but is it really a flip if the original team doesn’t want him?

  • OL Samuelu Utu 3-star, Orange, CA – Decommitted just before Thanksgiving. It sounds like he had more money offered elsewhere. This is the world we live in.🤨 Bama already has replacements lined up.

POTENTIAL FLIPS

  • OT Bryson Cooley 4-star Laurel, MS (6’6”/315) – LSU commit has been Fong-Bombed! He came in for an unofficial visit last week; Also looking at Ole Miss or staying with LSU.

  • WR Samson Gash 4-star Detroit, MI suburb (6’0”/165) – Michigan State commit; Waiting to sign in February due to Sparty coaching change (Pat Fitzgerald); Recruited to Bama by outgoing JaMarcus Shephard; The Tide will not get in a bidding war; Son of former NFL veteran Sam Gash.

EARLY ENROLLEES

With the exception of DL Nolan Wilson and DL Malique Franklin, all current Alabama commits are expected to enroll in January.
