Cunningham has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for games played through October and November, the NBA announced Dec. 2. He led the Pistons to a 16-4 start in that span while averaging 28.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 9.4 assists on 45.6% overall shooting.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOn the season, he has entered the MVP discussion while averaging 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. It's been a historic start for the Pistons, who matched their franchise-best with a 13-game winning streak.
J.B. Bickerstaff was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month. Bickerstaff, 46 and in his second year, is 61-42 in Detroit, after leading the Pistons' historic turnaround of 44-38 and a playoff berth in 2024-25.
