The Supernatural franchise is set to deliver a special Valentine’s-themed story next year, just in time for the holiday. Sam and Dean are back with a new comic series chronicling their early days as monster-hunters, and now they will be forced to confront something even more dangerous than the forces of hell: their love lives.

LOVE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH — AND JUST AS TERRIFYING! Sam and Dean Winchester know a thing or two about love and loss. After all, they've abandoned any pretense of a normal life and hit the road to hunt down the entity that took the lives of two of their loved ones. So if anyone can understand the kind of heartache that would cause a person to turn to demonic forces in order to bring someone back from the dead, it's the brothers Winchester.
But just because something is understandable doesn't make it advisable — and it certainly doesn't make it safe! In fact, you can pretty much count on things going wrong in unexpectedly spectacular ways when you meddle with the fundamental forces of mortality. In this case, trying to command a minor minion of the underworld has resulted in the summoning of an ancient and uncontrollable goddess of desire. The rampage that ensues embodies the true power of love — and only Sam and Dean can stop it!
In other words, someone is going to try to resurrect a lost love, and it is going to get spectacularly out of hand, leaving it up to the Winchesters to take care of the ensuing chaos. Sounds like a classic Supernatural set-up.
Dynamite Entertainment’s new Supernatural comic series debuted to rave reviews last month. Supernatural #2 hits shelves in a few days. It’s a brand new day for Sam and Dean Winchester, as the franchise returns to its roots in comic book form. The Valentine’s Day Special is a pleasant surprise, indicating further expansion of this new era.
Sam and Dean both loved and lost their fair share during Supernatural’s long TV run. They’re not strangers to heartache, and the destructive potential of romantic passion. If the new Supernatural Valentine’s Day Special can channel all that, it will be an instant hit just like the new comic “reboot.” It will be further proof that Supernatural is still beloved.

2026 is gearing up to be a big year for Supernatural comics. Assuming the new Supernatural ongoing series continues to run through the year, there is potential for more Special issues beyond Valentine's Day. There is also always the chance that the franchise could explore other eras of Supernatural canon, beyond just the early years of the Winchester brothers.
With no Supernatural series currently on television, fans of the franchise are eager to turn their attention to the comics in order to discover the ongoing adventures of their favorite characters.. Supernatural Valentine's Day Special 2026 is the next fun expansion of Sam and Dean's story, and it sets the stage for more themed stories set in the Supernatural world.
