As My Hero Academia fans would know, there was a lot of buzz and excitement surrounding the anime's latest episode. With the final battle against All For One inching closer to its conclusion, the hype around Izuku Midoriya reached its peak. Amidst the anticipation, Bones Film used this moment to deliver the ultimate Season 1 throwback.

With the climactic battle reaching its conclusion, My Hero Academia: Final Season Episode 8 saw Deku land his final "Smash" on All For One. To everyone's surprise, this scene closely mirrored the protagonist's very first "Smash" during the U.A. Entrance Exam, highlighting his journey from a determined young boy to the greatest hero of all time.

Deku's Final Smash in My Hero Academia Mirrored His First One in Season 1

My Hero Academia: Final Season Episode 8, titled "Izuku Midoriya Rising" was a big episode for the protagonist. With Deku being the only person capable of defeating All For One, everyone cleared his way and cheered him on. So, just as he got closer to All For One, he geared up his final "Smash" to hit the villain.

However, to everyone's surprise, the scene was far more than a "sakuga" fest. Izuku Midoriya's final "Smash" in My Hero Academia anime was a parallel to his first "Smash" in Season 1 during the U.A. Entrance Exam.

The way Deku closed his fist, pulled his punch, and charged at the enemy were uncanny to the scene from Season 1. As such, Bones Film managed to deliver the ultimate Season 1 throwback to fans with the latest episode.

Deku's Final Smash Signifies His Growth as a Hero

As fans might remember, Deku was originally a quirkless boy who wanted to become a hero like his idol, All Might. So, as far as fate was concerned, he was never meant to become the greatest hero of all time.

Fortunately for him, All Might saw his potential and chose to make him the next One For All successor. From that point forward, Deku trained hard to develop a body that could handle the quirk. However, it was not until the U.A. Entrance Exam that we got to see him in action. And surprisingly, his very first move was his "Smash."

With Deku's final "Smash" mirroring his very first one, the anime basically saw Deku's hero journey coming full circle. During his first "Smash," he was scared, uncertain, and so weak that he injured his own hand. In comparison, during his final "Smash," Deku was not only fearless and determined but also strong enough to defeat the anime's biggest villain.
