The New England Patriots played a near-perfect first half against the New York Giants, taking a 30-7 lead into the locker room. However, they also saw a member of their running back group exit the game with an injury.
Terrell Jennings, the Patriots’ third option at the position, left in the second quarter with a head injury. He has since been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

He later also was on the field for Marcus Jones’ 94-yard punt return touchdown, but left shortly thereafter. Following a stint in the blue medical tent, the sophomore running back left for the locker room and did not return.
With Jennings out, the Patriots are down to Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson at the running back position. His spot on the kickoff return team, meanwhile, went to rookie Efton Chism.
An undrafted free agent out of Florida A&M in 2024, Jennings started his second NFL season on the Patriots’ practice squad. Following Antonio Gibson’s ACL tear in Week 5, he was promoted to the active roster. In total, he has appeared in seven games so far this season, registering 24 offensive touches for 82 yards and a touchdown as well as two kickoff returns for a combined 59 yards.
