ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Injuries have piled up for Michigan football all season, but some even date back to last year.
Safety and team captain Rod Moore missed all of 2024 due to an ACL tear he sustained in spring ball. After a setback, he wasn't able to come back right away in 2025, but finally suited up in Week 2 against Oklahoma, and made his playing debut against Nebraska in Week 4. However, just a few weeks later, Moore was out, listed on the injury report week to week.

According to Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore on Monday, the star safety will not only not play against Ohio State on Saturday, but it also appears that his season is over.
"Rod will be out, yeah," Moore confirmed. Asked if he will be out for the season, Moore said, "Yeah, most likely, yes."
Moore made the game-saving play the last time the Wolverines hosted the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor, when he intercepted a Kyle McCord pass downfield intended for wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
But there are other injury concerns entering The Game. Fellow team captain Max Bredeson sustained an undisclosed lower-body injury at Maryland, and his prognosis is unclear. Linebacker Ernest Hausmann and wide receiver Semaj Morgan both missed the game against the Terps as well, and Moore updated their statuses on Monday.

Beyond them, tight end Hogan Hansen's return is unclear. Running back Jordan Marshall is expected to play, as Moore declared after the Maryland game that Marshall could have played but was held out.
