Where Vanderbilt men's, women's basketball stand in college polls

Vanderbilt men's basketball ranked No. 23 in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll after moving to 5-0 with a win over Texas Southern. The Commodores are also No. 24 in the AP Poll.

The women's basketball team, which is 6-0, came in at No. 17 in the AP Poll after notching three wins in the past week.

The men have scored over 100 points in four of their five games so far, showcasing one of the country's most explosive offenses.

Meanwhile, the women have gotten double digit points from star guard Mikayla Blakes in all six games so far. Blakes put up a 30-point, 10-rebound double-double against Western Kentucky and freshman Aubrey Galvan had 16 points, 15 assists and nine steals against Tennessee State.

Both teams head to tournaments in the coming week. The men will be at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas, where they will start by taking on Western Kentucky on Nov. 26 (11 a.m. CT, ESPN). The women will be at Paradise Jam in the US Virgin Islands, which will begin with a matchup against Oregon State on Nov. 27 (7 p.m. CT, ESPN+).
