PSG ready to pounce should Upamecano leave Bayern as a free agent

Paris Saint-Germain are seriously involved in the case of Dayot Upamecano should he leave Bayern Munich as a free agent.

Talks between the French centre-half and the Parisian giants have taken place, according to Sky Germany's report.

Upamecano's representatives have also been in contact with La Liga superpower Real Madrid, who too have been linked with the 27-year-old.

Nonetheless, Bayern still hold onto the hope that Upamecano will extend his contract with the Bundesliga champions until at least 2030.

The desired release clause remains a decisive point in reaching a deal which Bayern's director of sport Max Eberl pushing for intensively.

As Bulinews reported yesterday, the Bavarians' defender supposedly claimed that his contract stand-off is “not about the money".

Upamecano has been an key part of Kompany's side and found himself on the scoresheet during Saturday's 6-2 win over SC Freiburg.
