Vance's side beat fifth-placed Peacehaven and Telscombe 1-0 on Saturday thanks to Sam Murray's stoppage-time goal to move up to seventh place in the table.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Green Lions are a point off the play-off places with games in hand, and 21 points off runaway leaders Haywards Heath Town who have won all 17 of their games.
The islanders are in the ninth tier of English football for the first time in 12 years.
"I'm going to be honest, we're not going to win the league," Vance told BBC Radio Guernsey.
"There's teams in there that have got big budgets that will always come through.
"But our aim was to get in the play-offs [in the] first year and ultimately have a shot at those play-offs in the first year.
"That's what we're looking to do, so we're on track for that.
