Davante Adams has been breaking records all season long in his first year with the Los Angeles Rams. He keeps moving up all-time NFL lists and still leads the league with 12 receiving touchdowns this season.
The manner in which he scored those touchdowns also set a record. Adams caught his fourth one-yard touchdown grab of the year in Week 12, which was also the 15th one-yard touchdown reception of his career. That score broke the NFL record for most career one-yard touchdown receptions, as Adams passed tight end Jimmy Graham's record which was set in 2023.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementIt's a remarkably obscure feat by Adams that solidifies him as the true king of the NFL end zone. He is simply automatic at that part of the field, as eight of his 12 touchdowns this year have come from within five yards of the end zone. In fact, 61 of Adams' 115 touchdown receptions have come on goal-to-goal situations from at least 10 yards out, including 42 from within the five-yard line.
This is the power and might of Adams, and a huge reason why Sean McVay wanted to bring him to L.A. so badly. Adams is simply impossible to stop in the end zone and has turned the Rams' red zone offense into a touchdown machine. He is great all over the field, but Adams' usage in the red zone cannot be ignored.
And now, it's in the history books.
