Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer said that Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. remains suspended after an arrest in November with the SEC championship game against Georgia looming.
"Right now, there is nothing that has changed as of today," DeBoer said on the SEC championship coaches teleconference Sunday, Nov. 30.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKirkpatrick was indefinitely suspended after an arrest Saturday, Nov. 1. According to a report from AL.com, Kirkpatrick was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, one count of attempting to elude and speeding. He was released from Tuscaloosa County Jail Saturday on $1,500 bond within an hour of his booking.
Kirkpatrick has nine tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass deflection and a forced fumble in 2025.
Kirkpatrick's father, Dre Kirkpatrick, won two national championships at Alabama and became a first-round NFL draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2012.
Alabama will take on Georgia in the SEC championship game Saturday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. CT on ABC.
