M&S isn’t just the place to do your weekly food shop, it’s also a destination for contemporary homeware, beauty and fashion collections designed in partnership with big names (Bella Freud and 16Arlington). But is it participating in Black Friday 2025?

In short, no – but it’s not all bad news. Instead, M&S is hosting its own winter sale this November, with reductions across every department that easily compete with a traditional Black Friday event. This year, you can grab up to 50 per cent off beauty, fashion and more. Whether you’re hunting for Christmas gifts, refreshing your cold-weather wardrobe or stocking up on party-season make-up must-haves, it’s well worth a look.

Standout deals include up to 40 per cent off big-name beauty brands like Benefit, up to 20 per cent off winter coats and knitwear, and a massive 40 per cent off homeware items from lamps to bedding. With so many bargains on offer, I’ve rounded up my favourite picks from M&S’s Black Friday alternative sale to make shopping a little easier.

This garment secured the top spot in my review of the best cashmere jumpers this season. At £90, it was already relatively affordable for cashmere, but now it’s even cheaper in the M&S sale. Made with 100 per cent cashmere, it’s perfectly lightweight and soft while being insulating and warm. Distinguished by its crew neckline, the jumper boasts a comfortable, relaxed cut and a soft, brushed finish.

M&S faux fur buckle trim coat: Was £75, now £60, Marksandspencer.com

Faux fur is big news this season – and this coat from M&S is a steal at £60. With its cosy exterior, duffle fastenings with buckle detailing and black piping, it combines stylish looks with functional features. The coat has been designed with a relaxed cut that’s ideal for layering over knitwear, while the off-white colourway is the perfect neutral for pairing with your existing wardrobe.

Earning a spot in my review of the best trench coats, I loved the flattering, tailored fit of this M&S style. Reduced by 20 per cent (discount added at checkout), the quality is excellent with a crisp cotton fabrication and full inner lining. The belt can be fastened for extra structure and warmth, while the black finish is a smart take.

An understated take on a Christmas jumper, a Fair Isle design is a timeless choice in the run-up to the festivities. This knit from M&S is reduced to £30 and features a ribbed crew neckline and a chocolate brown and cream colour palette.

One of my favourite Christmas jumpers, M&S’s knit is reduced to less than £30. As I noted in my review, the classic fair isle print is designed with a festive-themed red and burgundy colour palette, while the textured boucle-yarn finish adds to the cosy feel.
