The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city where the Bucs found success this preseason with a last-second field goal to defeat the Steelers. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft.
Draft Network's Jaime Eisner recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle. Within it, the Bucs were attached to a new defender compared to recent mock drafts: Cornerback. They end up with LSU defender Mansoor Delane, who has emerged as possibly the best cornerback in the country in 2025.

He could’ve been a day-two pick in last year’s draft, but he decided to return to school and transfer to LSU. He has had a fantastic season thus far, showcasing his physicality and high football IQ. He can replace pending free agent Jamel Dean."
If the Bucs were to land someone like Delane in the back half of the first round, they would be running the card to the podium. Delane has the unique blend of size and instincts to be a reliable CB1 in a defense. With Jamel Dean's expected departure, this is quickly proving to be a major need as we get a preview of the unit's play without him.
